Movie Review: The Spy who Dumped Me

This film is directed by Susanna Fogel and it stars Mila Kunis, Kate McKinnon, Sam Heughan, and Justin Theroux.

This film is about two best friends Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon) who find themselves in a international conspiracy when Audrey’s ex-boyfriend turns out to be a spy.

I had lots of fun with this film. This film is funny, fun and surprisingly violent. The trailer did a great job in keeping the action and violence out of it so seeing the violence and action was a nice surprise. Although this movie is about spy’s and getting the object of interest safely to a particular place, the core of this film is the friendship between Audrey and Morgan. The chemistry between Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is undeniable and they both carry this movie. My favorite character in this film was Morgan, McKinnon’s perfect comedic timing and her relationship with her parents were absolute gold. I have 4 daughters and I want to have, with them, the same relationship Morgan has with her parents. This film did have some nice twists and turns through out the entire film. This movie was funny and I haven’t laughed this much in quite some time. Overall it’s an entertaining movie (if you like spy films).

I give this a 7.0 out of 10
