Movie Review: A Star is Born
This movie is directed by Bradley Cooper and it stars Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Sam Elliot, and Dave Chapelle.
This film is about musician Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper), who is an alcoholic and drug addict, and his discovery of the singer Ally (Lady Gaga), whom he falls in love with. This film takes us on the journey of the fall of Jackson’s career and the rise of Ally’s career.
I went into this film expecting to watch the best film of this year. I did not love this film I just simply liked it. For my taste this film is a bit long and there are instances where i found myself looking at my phone to see what time the movie will end. Lady Gaga gives an academy award performance and so does Bradley Cooper. I would not be surprised if they both get nominations for their performances. The heartbeat of this movie is not the individual performances of Gaga and Cooper, but the chemistry between them. Their chemistry makes everything in the film believable. The music in this movie is phenomenal. Gaga gave me the chills multiple times while she was performing on screen and Bradley Cooper did a descent job himself. The ending of this movie didn’t hit me as i would have liked it to. This is the only version of this film I have watched so I didn’t know the ending of this film. Overall I thought this film was ok.
I give this film an 8.0 out of 10
