Movie Review: Searching

This film is directed by Aneesh Chaganty and it stars John Cho, Debra Messing, Michelle La, and Joseph Lee.

This film follows David Kim (John Cho) and his desperate search to find his missing 16 year old daughter Margot (Michelle La).

As of today (10/6/2018) this is my favorite movie of this year! The way this film is shot is magnificent and something I have never seen before. This film is told with every type of technology that is out there and its told via media (social media, television media, facetime, skype etc). It was a breath of fresh air to see a film from the perspective of the technology we use every day. The story is interesting and intriguing. This film is a fantastic mystery thriller it had me guessing throughout the movie and the twists at the end of the film I did not see coming. This film made me think of my own parenting style and if I truly listen to my children. It made me think if my daughters have enough trust in me to tell me their issues and concerns. The acting in this film is phenomenal. This film had me hooked from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the end credits. Overall I loved this film!! To be honest I have no negative criticism about this film (in my opinion this film is perfect).

I give this film a 10 out of 10
